Riders of Southfields Farm
Katie,
Maggie and David Oberkircher began riding at an early age with
their aunt, Barbara McGinnis at Three Diamonds Stable in
Collegeville, Pennsylvania. “Aunt Barb” exposed them to all the
basics from summer camp, trail rides, horse shows, and correct
horsemanship – their foundation. In 2005 they began riding with
Phoebe DeMott at Cedar Ridge Farm. Phoebe, “Aunt Barb” and
their mom, Kathy, rode together as children with Jack Trainor at
Here & There Farm.
Katie, Maggie
and David have been dedicated students while still keeping a
balance in their academic and school life. To date they have
many champions and reserves including the Oberkircher
“tri-fecta” at the Devon Horse Show in 2008 where Katie was
Grand Champion in the Local Hunter Division – Champion in
Section A on “Cover Girl”. Maggie was Reserve Champion in the
Local Hunter, Section B on “Jukebox Hero” and David was Reserve
Champion in the Local Hunter, Section C on “Loretta”.
